Treasures
When I was asked to make this cake for one of my daughters good friends I was told that she was going to have a Princess themed birthday party. After a few days we received an adorable invitation in the shape of a castle with all the needed info. As the party drew closer the b-day girl's mom called and told me that she wanted to change her theme to include Tinker Bell along with the Princess theme. I have to admit that I was a bit stumped as to how to mesh the themes together.
I had to rethink the whole project, so I started with what I knew of Tinker Bell from the book "Peter Pan" by J.M. Barrie. Tinker Bell had a totally different personality then vs. now. But one thing that she did love was shiny sparkly things. And so the idea of a Jewelry box filled with necklaces and bracelets was born.

Lily Pads and Princesses
Yummy plum and cinnamon cupcakes for a princess party. I needed a quick easy to travel with cupcake. We took our youngest daughter Emma for an adventure on her birthday. We went to Arches National Park and had a cold, windy and wonderful day.
Cake Flavor: Plum and Cinnamon with Cinnamon Cream cheese Frosting
Unicorns and Glitter
For a fun sparkly birthday party for my 6 year old. The creamy strawberry cake with cream cheese frosting was a sweet ending to an Enchanted Unicorn party.
This cake admittedly is not one of my best. It had an accident and had to be seriously repaired before pictures were even taken and then it slid off it's plate (1st time I've ever had this happen) before it made it to the party. I haven't posted it because the memories of the flop are to painful...

Deb's Dinos Leave Their Tracks
This little dinosaur reapplies her ruby red lipstick to make sure she's madeup for a night on the town. She carries her Mary Kay tote bag filled with famous MK products. This cake was created to say congratulations for a Mary Kay Unit's debut named Deb's Dinos. Go Dinos!
Cake Flavor: Almond Creamcheese with Fluffy Chocolate Icing. All decorations are handmade and edible.
