Soooo..... What do you do when you have exactly 20 minutes in between birthday party games to assemble and decorate a cake for the party that started 35 minutes ago?

You let your husband help. :) 

I don't think it's too shabby, considering all the forces of nature that were working against me that day.

Polka Dots and Swirls

A friend of mine asked me to make a cake for her baby shower, she really loves swirls and polka dots! 

Cake Flavor: White Velvet Cake with Fresh Strawberry filling and smothered in a delectable White Chocolate Frosting. 

RaeLynn (Birds of a Feather)

This cake was made for my sister's wedding this summer.  This was the second cake that I was able to make for her.  She had two receptions that were held a week apart.  When she came down to look at ideas for cakes she found two that she absolutely loved, lucky for her she didn't have to choose between the two.

When my sister got married this summer I had the chance to make her wedding cake, I was so very excited.  I then had the opportunity to transport her cake (assembled) 150 miles away from where it was made and put together.  To make a long painful story short, it didn't travel well.  Thank goodness most of the cake was able to be repaired. (sort of)  Sorry Rae. :)
